Whaaaaat. Does it require a permanent hard-line to a petrol refinery to run longer than 4 cycles?

So...who has the cash AND a big enough death wish to buy this car and actually drive it?

The only other option is enough high-test fuel stored in the body that it'd go up like an entire fuel station in the tiniest accident. I'm not sure which is worse.

Not a fan of the wheels. Pure insanity though, I'd drive the shit out of it. (Right into a tree most likely.)

That ridiculous hood scope has got to go.

Also, slab-side or GTFO

Interesting, it's still for sale? I thought someone would have gobbled it up by now.

I think a lot of buyers like the idea in "theory" but are secretly too afraid to actually own this thing.

I think what you said right there, is what makes it all the more appealing.

Much like when Bill Cosby had Shelby build him a twin turbo 427. He returned it a week later saying it scared the shit out of him.

The car's performance figures are also mind boggling with zero to 100km/h reached in an amazing 3 seconds while 0 – 300km/h is covered in just 10 seconds.

Interesting - the 0-300km/h time is the same as the 0-shredded tires time. You pick - go fast or go smokey, but you can't have both!

But seriously, 780 cubic inches (12.9 litres)? I'll bet it's not actually any fun to drive because it'd be too squirrelly at any speed with all that power.

I remember reading an article in Sports Car International (man I miss that mag) a long time ago when they made this car, I think it said you could break the tires loose at 90mph that is scary.

I think he actually had it capitalized before the edit, i.e. "Cu/in".

Of course, the edit didn't fix the larger problem as such.

Because fuck forward visibility!

Seriously though, cobras are hard enough to see out of as is.
